The Lodge - 1935
Building History
Our "Hundred Year Old" Lodge is truly unique, in the respect that it is constructed of rare tamarack logs,
felled and assembled by Swedish craftsmen beginning in 1905.
In 1911 the property was opened to the public as the Grand
View Resort. Our massive split stone fireplace with its single piece Lannon stone mantel was constructed in 1922. The initials
"CW" on the fireplace stand for Camp Winnepe, a boys camp that was then in operation on the site.
